Barely a week after she was transfered to an hospital in New york during a throat surgery in a clinic where she stopped breathing, fashion police star and comedian Joan Rivers passes on. See the statement below from her daughter Melissa.
..It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother Joan Rivers who passed on at exactly 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I will like to thank the doctors, nurses, and the staffs of Mount Sinai hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother. Cooper and I found ourselves humble by the outpouring of love, support and prayers we have received from around the world, They have been heard and appreciated.
My mother's greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although this is difficult to do right now, I know that her final wish will be for us to return to laughing soon:
