President Jonathan today in Abuja unveils the new E-national identity card. The card which was created in collaboration with MasterCard is a multipurpose card for identification, electronic signatures, biometric on-card verification amongst other applications.
It can be used in depositing and withdrawals of funds, getting social benefits and paying for any goods or services from anywhere in the world that accepts MasterCard.
3million cards will be issued during the first enrollment phase. While other Nigerians between the ages of 16 and 25 will be enrolled subsequently.
